Cooking from scratch is one of my favorite pasttimes. I think it all started when I began making banana breadwith overly ripe bananas! I really enjoy searching my growing collection of cookbooks for that special recipe for a birthday cake, dessert for company, dish to take to the church fellowship, or as a food gift for a friend. One of my favorit cookbooks is the Fannie Farmer Cookbook! It's been around for about 100 years now and has gone through several updates. There are some great old-fashioned recipes to be had there!
The bread recipes featured here can be made in the traditional sized loaf pan but it's great fun to purchase mini-sized disposable loaf pans as your local grocer to use also. Each recipe will make about 3 mini-loaves. Sometimes I have been known to make muffins instead of loaves. These make great snacks for a child's lunch.
Well, I hear that rumbly in your tumbly so . . . .
