Priceless Woman Ministries
You Know You Are Loved When...
- Your child moves his chair
next to yours at the table.
- The first thing your child
does when he gets up in the morning is hug you.
- Your child snuggles up next
to you on the couch to watch TV.
- Your child asks you to come
outside and play.
- You're asked to play
Barbies or cars.
- Your child draws a picture
of you and him together.
- Your child offers to share
his chocolate bar with you. Especially if it's the very
last bite.
- Your child offers to
vacuum, wash dishes, or change the baby's dirty diaper.
This especially applies to teenagers and four-year-old's.
- Your 20-month-old hugs your
neck as she sings the *Barney Song* to you.
- Your children tell you how
pretty you look. (Even on a bad hair day)
- Your 5-year-old son gives
you his brightest smile and winks at you.
- Your children fight over
who gets to sit beside you at the restaurant.
- Your child remembers you in
his bedtime prayers.
- You go on a trip with your
husband and all of the children hug you a gazillion times
and say "I sure am gonna' miss you!".
- Your child wants to hold
your hand.
- Your child wants to spend
his only dollar on you.
- Your son picks a bouquet of
dandelions for you.
- Your three-year-old also
picks you a bouquet. Of weeds, that is. Roots and all.
My Prayer
Thank you, Lord,
for tiny fingerprints on the walls and windows.
Thank you, Lord, for the noise and the busy-ness of the day.
Thank you, Lord, for all that these precious children are.
For I know that this could be a spotless, noiseless, still, and
childless home.
Help me to be kind, and loving, and gentle with these little
souls.
Help me to love them like you love me. Unconditionally.
Amen.
